Your Big Move — Sneak Attack
Sneak Attack1/turn · finesse or ranged hit
Once per turn, on a hit with a finesse or ranged weapon, deal
+2d6 extra damage if EITHER:
- You have advantage on the attack (Pack Tactics counts!), OR
- An ally is within 5 ft of the target (and not incapacitated) AND you don't have disadvantage
You almost always qualify — your party is full of allies.
Don't forget the +2d6 every turn.
Actions
ScimitarAction · main weapon

If you want to…
- Deal heavy damage → Get advantage (have an ally adjacent — Pack Tactics!) → Sneak Attack adds +2d6. Once per turn, every turn.
- Sneak attack from a distance → Use the Shortbow. Pack Tactics still works as long as an ally is in melee with the target.
- Sneak attack with no ally → Hide (Cunning Action bonus), then attack from hidden = advantage. Trickier.
- Get out of melee → Cunning Action: Disengage (no opportunity attack), then move. Or Dash for 60 ft.
- Reduce huge incoming damage → Uncanny Dodge reaction: halve the damage of one hit per round.
- Pick a lock or disarm a trap mid-combat → Fast Hands bonus action with thieves' tools.
- Persuade a Bluescale → Persuasion +7 (expertise). You're the social one.
In short
Hit-and-run. Stand near an ally for free Sneak Attack advantage every round. Use Cunning Action to reposition without opportunity attacks. Save Uncanny Dodge for the biggest hit. You're not a tank — keep moving.
